KENYA REGISTERED COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSE (KRCHN) – 1 Position

Community Health Partners (CHP), Kenya is a Faith Based Organization offering wholistic, affordable and accessible health care services to the general public in Narok and Kajiado Counties. CHP Kenya Health Program seeks to recruit the following High caliber Professionals for its Rural Health Facilities in Narok County.
Job Description
Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records. Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients.
Major Responsibilities
  • To take relevant medical/social history of patients.
  • Manage patient according to the Diagnosed illnesses.
  • Must ensure that the Health Facility is always in clean condition
  • Health Education to patients in one to one basis on drug compliance, Nutrition and general Health.
  • Assist in referring patients who need further management in hospital setup.
  • Liaise with CHW in Community mobilization focusing on HIV/AIDS and PHC.
  • Custodians of all dispensaries medical equipments.
  • Accountable of all medical / drugs in health centre/dispensary.
  • Keep all records in the Health facility as required by GoK Ministry of Health regulations.
  • Responsible to report drugs shortage to the relevant authority in good time.
  • Sending records punctually to relevant authorities according to MOH regulation
  • Drugs dispensing and give injection as prescribed.
  • Required Qualification
  • For appointment to the post of KRCHN Ill, candidates must:
  • Be in possession of a Kenya Registered Nurse or Kenya Registered Community Health Nurse Diploma from a recognized medical training college.
  • Be registered by the Nursing Council of Kenya.
  • Be knowledgeable and experienced in HIV/AIDS management. Those with CCC management will have an added advantage.
  • Computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Required Competencies:
  • Willing and ready to work in remote / interior regions of Narok County.
  • Fluency in Maasai language will be an added advantage.
