Corporate Sales Manager at a 5 star Hotel – Nairobi, Kenya

An International High End Hotel in Nairobi is seeking a Corporate Sales Manager. The successful candidate will sell hotel rooms, food & beverage and function space and promote the hotel mainly for the corporate market. He/she MUST have worked for a 4/5 Star hotel in Kenya for a minimum of 4 years, and already comes with his/her own corporate contacts in the Kenyan market. International experience is a plus.

Key Responsibilities;

• Identify lead markets.
• Follows, reviews, and advise the superior of ways to improve the Sales and Marketing Standards and Policy.
• Directs sales executives to contact potential business leads, keeping control of heavy booking dates.
• Corresponds with group contacts.
• Provides directions to all concerned departments regarding incoming groups.
• Oversees training of sales staff.
• Maintains close contact with travel agents, local business groups and airlines.
• Entertains clients as needed.
• Analyses sales results and recommends ways to improve the results of the hotel.
• Liases with concerned departments to ensure that operations will deliver the best quality products to the clients. 
• Furnishes sales monthly reports according to the request on a timely basis.
• Attends daily briefing and departmental meetings as assigned by supervisor. 
• Interacts with guests, government officials and other important individual in the community in promoting the hotel.

Qualifications;

MUST have a minimum education of Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or relevant discipline.
MUST have a minimum of 4-5 years sales experience in a similar capacity, preferably in a 5 star class environment.
• Have excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.
• Result-Oriented. Have a positive attitude toward challenges and the drive to excel.
• Posses professional disposition with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Monthly Gross Salary: Ksh.160, 000/= plus medical cover (Approx. 1600 USD)
